Chronic pain, acute pain, and sports injuries
What’s Causing the Pain?
Acupuncture offers excellent pain relief and pain management for your muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments. You may have acute pain caused by injury, such as a sprain or strain. Or you may find that you have chronic pain in your muscles or joints that has gradually gotten worse due to stress, age, or physical overuse.
Pain Relief and Pain Management
At your first appointment, I will do a full evaluation of your case. Consequently, this allows me to understand why you have pain in order for your treatments to be effective and long-lasting.
Some of the most common conditions I treat are:
- Sports injuries (athletics, dance, weightlifting)
- Low back pain
- Spinal pain
- Sacroiliac pain
- Neck and shoulder pain
- Plantar fasciitis, and other types of heel and foot pain
- Epicondylitis (elbow pain)
- Arthritis and achy joints
- Frozen shoulder
- Rotator cuff pain
- Generalized muscle pain
- Post-surgery pain
I also treat other types of physical discomforts (tightness, numbness, tingling, pressure, etc.).
My approach to pain management treatment includes overall system balance, stress relief, and trigger point therapy (also known as dry needling).
What I Recommend
I suggest weekly treatments for 5 weeks at a minimum. After 5 treatments, most patients are feeling significant relief from pain. They have a strong sense of how well acupuncture is working for them and understand what further treatment they will require. Every person has an individual healing timeline. Therefore, if you find yourself suffering from pain and would like to see if acupuncture may provide the relief you need, please request an appointment for an initial consultation and/or treatment.
