What is Qigong?
Qigong (pronounced "Chee Gung") means "life energy cultivation." Traditionally, it is seen as a method to cultivate and balance qi. It is often explained as a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, rhythmic movement, focused breathing, self-massage, sound, and concentrated awareness.

Specifically, it opens the flow of energy in meridians used in acupuncture. Also, it increases our ability to feel the Life Force underlying the physical world and to deepen our communication with it.

Is Qigong Safe?
Yes. Qigong is a Chinese health technique that is over five-thousand years old. As has been noted, it combines slow graceful movements with mental concentration and breathing to increase and balance a person’s life energy. It is an integral part of Chinese Medicine, along with acupuncture, acupressure, and herbal medicine. It is especially effective at reducing stress, thereby enhancing the immune system and preventing illness.
